Skeleton is a fast winter sliding sport in which an individual person rides a small sled down a frozen track while lying face down, during which athletes experience forces up to 5g. It originated in St. Moritz, Switzerland as a spin-off from the popular British sport of Cresta Sledding. While skeleton "sliders" use similar equipment to that of cresta "riders", the two sports are different: while skeleton is run on the same track used by bobsleds and luge, cresta is run on cresta-specific sledding tracks only.

Fernando Alonso Díaz (born 29 July 1981 in Oviedo, Asturias) is a Spanish Formula One racing driver and a two-time World Champion, who will race for Ferrari alongside Felipe Massa in 2010.
On 25 September 2005, he won the Formula One World Driver's Championship title at the age of 24 years and 58 days, breaking Emerson Fittipaldi's record of being the youngest Formula One World Drivers' Champion (this record was subsequently broken by Lewis Hamilton). After retaining the title the following year, Alonso also became the youngest double Champion. In 2007, he became the second F1 driver, after Michael Schumacher, to score at least 100 points for three consecutive seasons. Nicknamed El Nano, literally meaning "the guy" that is a typical nickname from Asturias, his place of birth, Alonso acts as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF[1] and is one of the directors of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association.

We have chosen PIQUÉ for our ‘Interesting lives’ article, because we believe that PIQUÉ is the best central player in the world. PIQUÉ plays in F.C.Barcelona and he also plays in the Spanish team. PIQUÉ has won THE UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE twice. At an individual level, he has won the prize for best new player of 2008/2009. He has played in Manchester United and Zaragoza and he now plays in Barça.
